What is the Horse Park Foundation?
Along with the strong support from the Commonwealth of Kentucky, gifts to the Kentucky Horse Park Foundation from the private sector - both individual and corporate - help the park build and maintain show facilities, conduct special research initiatives, complete landscaping projects, and host special art exhibits such as Imperial China and All the Queen’s Horses. Just heard about a Call for Submissions…
“The KHP Foundation is requesting submissions for mascot entries.
We invite your fresh and inventive submissions for a mascot image and name competition. The winning design will be used in the creation of a mascot representing the Kentucky Horse Park Foundation, not only during the 2010 Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games™ , but in the years beyond. The image and name may be together on the same entry; however, we reserve the option to select the winning image and name separately. The winner for first place image, and first place name will each receive a $500 prize.
Submission deadline is August 31, 2009.

Cool opportunity.
This sounds like a great contest, unfortunately the KHP Foundation failed to announce the finialist on September 17th or the winners on November 1, 2009(as indicated on their promotional PDF flyer). I hope the Kentucky Horse Park Foundation can resolve this in a professional manner as myself and many other qualified artist deserve to know if they have worked hard for a legitament contest or a scam.
Thank you for your comment. The Kentucky Horse Park foundation received so many fantastic entries that they extended the voting window with the board. They have just made a decision, and have announced the winner on their website at khpfoundation.org.
